First Capital Connect:
  During March and April of 2009 Aviance UK and BaggagePIN opened discussions with First Capital Connect Rail & Bus company based in the UK. BaggagePIN are please to announce that an agreement has now been sign and First Capital Connect customers will be offered BaggagePIN which is available from the First Capital Connect web site.
   
 
   
BAA London Stansted: April 2009 saw the introduction of BaggagePIN VEND© at BAA Stansted International Airport. The traveling public can purchase the BaggagePIN dual and multi packs from the security repacking area using either cash or credit card.

BaggagePIN representatives were on site demonstrating to the traveler the benefits to them and airport staff. Mr David Pearce (R&D director for BaggagePIN Limited) said that BaggagePIN VEND© was the first step in the continued expansion of providing the public with control over their own luggage.

The launch of our VEND system is a joint venture between BaggagePIN Limited, Aviance UK and BAA Stansted.
   
 
   
BaggagePIN at the World Travel Market - London



BaggagePIN teamed up with Aviance UK as exhibitors at the World Travel Market, London. The four day event was held at the Excel Arena and was attended by over 50,000 visitors.

Terry McCann (Operation Director, BaggagePIN) said "the show was a great success in promoting BaggagePIN to a wider audience". Discussions with travel representatives from around the world covering airlines, airports, cruise operators and travel agents.

Martyn Robinson along with Alistair Knox-Crawford attended the show representing Aviance UK; Alistair Knox-Crawford said "the interest in BaggagePIN by some of the biggest travel operators in the world was very encouraging for future expansion".
   
 
   
Southampton & Cardiff International airports: International Airports. Staff awareness training took place over a two day period and involved Aviance ground handling, ticket desk staff and members of the airports management teams. Awareness training was conducted by Alistair Knox-Crawford (Aviance) Terry McCann (BaggagePIN Director of Operations) and Dereck Jones (BaggagePIN Managing Director).

The BaggagePIN road show will be holding awareness training at Birmingham International Airport during the first week of November.

   
 
   
Birmingham International Airport: In partnership with Aviance UK baggage handling staff now have access to the ever increasing use of the BaggagePIN system. Theofficial launch was attended by representatives from Aviance UK, Alistair Knox-Crawford, left (Aviance UK head office)and Sandra Turner, center (Customer Service Manager, Aviance Station, Birmingham International Airport) along with Dereck Jones, right, Managing Director, Baggage PIN Limited. Both Alistair and Sandra expressed their delight at the additional service Aviance UK can now offer their customers.

Mr Knox-Crawford said "BaggagePIN is now operational at London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted, Southampton, and Cardiff and is soon to go live at London Heathrow, Manchester, Leeds and Bradford, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Belfast, Belfast City, Dublin and Jersey. Mr. Jones said it was "One small step for baggage, one giant leap for baggage owners".
   
 
   
Aviance UK: During April and May 2008 Aviance UK and BaggagePIN will be working together in order to deploy the BaggagePIN service across 16 Airports that are located around the United Kingdom, Ireland and Jersey.

Aviance-UK Ltd provides on a global basis a wide range of services to the airline industry including passenger, ramp service and load control services.

From the end of May it will be possible for their customers to purchase BaggagePIN tags and membership’s in the form of Retail Packs from many of their UK Airports. Passengers can activate their BaggagePIN account’s by using the text service on their mobile.

Once a BaggagePIN account is activated, the passenger will be safe in the comfort that should their baggage become separated from them whilst they are travelling, they can be easily contacted to arrange the return of their precious possessions.

BaggagePIN is the only baggage owner contact service that enables those who are directly responsible for handling baggage to contact owners by mobile phone in order to arrange the return of passenger’s mislaid baggage no matter where they or it may be in the world.
